Twig Deodorant Paste is a handmade natural deodorant. Simple, Clean & Effective.
I made this Deodorant Paste for myself 15 years ago when I couldn't find a natural deodorant that actually worked.
Most natural deodorants either left me sticky, smelly by midday, or gave me a rash. So I went back to basics — a simple paste made with just the ingredients that do the job.
It works by neutralising odour rather than blocking sweat... you are supposed to sweat!

Apply a pea-sized amount (or less) to clean, dry underarms using your fingertips or a jade stone applicator. Rub in gently and allow to absorb before putting on fitted clothing.
A 30g jar lasts about one month with daily use.
Storage tip: the paste can soften in summer heat, like good chocolate. Give it a stir and keep it in a cool cupboard or the fridge if needed.

Does it stop sweating?
No, and that's intentional. Sweat is how your body regulates temperature and moves things out. This paste neutralises odour without interfering with that. Most people find it keeps them feeling fresh all day, even on busy ones.
I've reacted to natural deodorants before — will this be okay?
The most common reactions to natural deodorant come from bicarb soda or from essential oils. If you know bicarb is a problem for you, this one won't suit your underarms (though the unscented version eliminates the essential oil variable). If you're unsure, try a small amount first.
How long does a jar last?
A 30g jar lasts around one month with daily use. A 60g gets you through two months. The 500g is great if you've converted the whole household or want to refill and reduce waste.
Can I use this on my kids?
Many parents do, especially on older kids and teenagers. We'd suggest patch testing first and starting with the unscented version for younger or more sensitive skin.
It's softened in the heat — is it ruined?
Not at all. Give it a stir and pop it in the fridge for 20 minutes to firm back up. The formula is completely stable; it just likes a cool spot in summer.
How do I deal with the packaging when it's empty?
Wash the jar thoroughly and either repurpose it (they're great for storing small things) or recycle the glass jar and metal lid in your yellow bin.

This deodorant really is the best. Im a mechanic and work hard. I was so surprised how well this works! I only need a little and it really lasts all day. Cheaper than alternatives and made local to me by a lovely small business.

Had slight citrus scent and caused an allergic reaction. None of the listed ingredients are problematic for me, so I can only think it was somehow contaminated considering the odour. Disappointing because I've previously purchased a lip balm that was unscented and great.
