Natural Remedies for Everyday Aches and Pains

Natural Remedies for Everyday Aches and Pains

Let’s be honest — we all deal with little aches and niggles. Whether it’s a stiff neck from a bad sleep, tired legs after a long day, or tension from holding too much in your shoulders, having a few natural supports on hand can make all the difference.

I'm all too familiar with the world of chronic pain, while things have settled down a lot for me now, pain is still hanging around many many years after a significant car accident caused daily pain for over a decade. The first product I made and sold was Magnesium and More, which I formulated to ease my own pain. It worked so well I started selling it at the Organic Store I was working at, and people loved it! I have updated the formula, but it is still available as Comfrey Plus, with the extra healing power of Comfrey and Arnica. I slather this creamy goodness on any new or old aches and quickly feel the softening and relief.

Comfrey is a long-trusted herb in traditional herbalism, known for its ability to support tissue repair. Often called “knitbone”, comfrey is particularly helpful when you’ve overdone it, or need support for sprains, bumps, or sore joints. It’s one of the star ingredients in our Comfrey Plus Healing Balm, which I reach for when I’ve overdone it (Yes, it is possible to crochet too hard!!).

I also make a few other products to support aches:

Magnesium Lotion — This one’s a favourite among my clients for tired, cramping legs or restless nights. Magnesium helps relax tense muscles and can support good sleep. It is also helpful for period cramps. It sinks in fast with a bit of therapeutic massage with the good oils increasing absorption of Magnesium, and unlike Magnesium ‘Oils’, it doesn’t itch.

Soothe Roll-On — This little roller is packed with essential oils traditionally used for tension and tightness. Soothing, gentle and effective. It’s perfect to keep in your bag for temple pressure, neck tension, or when you feel a headache brewing.

Each of these is blended in-house with care — no synthetics, no nasties — just plants and minerals that your body knows how to work with. And because they’re made from whole herbs, they don’t just mask discomfort — they offer genuine support for healing.

Next time you’re feeling that familiar tension creeping in, try turning to the plants. A warm bath, a good stretch, and a swipe of balm or oil can go a long way.

Your body’s doing a lot. It deserves the gentlest care.
